About Bar & Chain Oil
Bar and chain oil is formulated to adhere to the moving chain and bar to reduce friction and heat, preventing wear. Kawasaki’s KTECH formula is high tack to help oil stay on the chain even at high speed.
It’s important to use a proper bar & chain lubricant rather than regular engine oil — engine oil doesn’t have the tackifiers that help bar oil cling under high-speed rotation and can wear out the bar/chain faster.
